The Story Behind Nyumbani Markets
My journey to Nyumbani Markets began in 2017, after I unexpectedly lost my banking job. As the sole provider for my young family, I quickly fell into debt and turned to entrepreneurship, launching online businesses that struggled to grow. The problem wasn’t effort or ideas, it was trust.
That changed when I joined a local pop-up market. There, I found a community that shared customers, referrals, and support. My sales took off. That’s when I realized what small businesses need most is not just capital, but a trusted space to connect with real people.
That insight sparked Nyumbani Markets, a community-driven marketplace where local entrepreneurs thrive, visiting brands connect with residents, and 70% of all profits go to a Community Fund to support estate projects chosen by you.
